Hi, I'm Jamie Setch, an independent musician and NeuroAI Researcher at the University of Cambridge.
My team and I recently launched the nerve initiative (nerveinitiative.com), where we continue to build an infrastructure for biomimetic robots. Life has been hectic, some of the text on my website may be out of date, but balancing my music and academic career is my higher calling.

Jamie Setch
Bio
Jamie Setch is a Geordie singer-songwriter who performs alongside his band of childhood friends (under the shared moniker 'Starlings', also used to refer to his fans). Writing songs since 16, Jamie studied at Newcastle's Sage 'young musicians programme' before studying Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience and NeuroAI at Cambridge University. After splitting from his university band 'Claremont Wing' and a near-death experience free-soloing Mont Blanc, Jamie decided to restart with the Starlings. Now with a roster of unreleased masters produced at Blast Studios (Sam Fender, Arctic Monkeys, Nicki Minaj) by Andy Bell (Knats, Smoove & Turrell, Bear Park), Jamie is cutting his teeth at gigs, festivals, and showcases.
Jamie Setch is on a mission to headline Glastonbury by 2030.
